Intermodal Transportation Center

The Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) opened in January 2002 immediately following the extension of the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) service to downtown Fort Worth, with a vision to provide a convenient, centralized hub for multiple forms of public transportation, with spacious waiting rooms and customer counters.

Passengers may make one stop for connections to local or long distance bus and train travel, B-Cyles (bikes), rental cars and cabs. They can also travel to DFW Airport via free shuttles from Trinity Metro’s TRE CentrePort/DFW Airport Station. The ITC will also serve as a station on the 27-mile TEXRail commuter rail line to DFW Airport’s terminal B, scheduled to begin service in late 2018.

ITC Transportation Services

  • Largest transfer center for Trinity Metro’s bus system to Fort Worth area destinations, including cultural district, universities, shopping, employment and medical centers.
  • The Trinity Railway Express operates Monday-Saturday between Fort Worth and Dallas. TRE serves five stations in Fort Worth and Mid-Cities, with shuttle buses from CentrePort station trains to DFW Airport, and five stations in the Dallas area with connections to the Dallas region via DART light rail and to the Denton area via DCTA commuter rail.
  • Future TEXRail station, scheduled to begin service in late 2018.
  • Molly the Trolley, the downtown circulator, runs every 10 to 15 minutes, seven days a week between 10 a.m and 10 p.m.
  • Two ITC-based B-Cycle (bike) Stations are among the 35 Fort Worth Bike Sharing docking stations located in downtown, the Cultural District, Near Southside and TCU.
  • Greyhound offers daily schedules to 2,500 destinations across North America.
  • Amtrak trains have direct service from the ITC to San Antonio and Oklahoma City with connecting service to more than 500 destinations nationwide.
  • Enterprise Rent-A-Car averages rentals of more than 300 cars per month.
  • Yellow Cab and Cowboy Cab stop regularly at the ITC.
  • A passenger drop-off and nearby commercial parking make ITC access convenient.
  • The Convention and Visitors Bureau offers tourist information at a kiosk in the lobby.
